My friends Neil and Kate recently gave me a fantastic housewarming gift – a beautiful hardcover edition of the book “Annie Leibovitz at Work“. It features Annie’s incredibly photography, but also her thoughts, recollections and anecdotes about her life as a photographer and the various photo shoots featured in the book – it’s the stories behind the images. What a treasure. I’ve always loved Annie’s work, especially her portraiture for Vanity Fair, and I’m really looking forward to reading the book and getting some insights into her mental processes and how she approaches her portrature.
