Case study: Contemporary lifestyle family portrait

Christchurch mum and interior designer Chrissy wanted a relaxed, contemporary image of her children to hang in her home. Chrissy’s home has a wonderful light, airy, seaside feel to it and she wanted something with an artsy yet casual and beachy feeling.

We arranged to meet down by Sumner beach in Christchurch. I did a variety of shots with the children, and the winning picture was the one above of them wading in the water and just being themselves.

The final image was upsized and printed in black and white on canvas at 1.6 metres wide, and hangs with pride of place in the main living area of Chrissy’s home.
