This is where they will find the body…

Murder most foul!

I created this spine-chilling series of urban, impressionistic photographs for a Hallowe’en gallery exhibition.

The images explore the dark, semi-hidden alleys and urban corners where you would not want to be caught alone at night.

These are places where you might expect to discover a body – hinting at the dark and unspeakable things that go on under cover of night.

The prints were hung unframed and interspersed with a running narrative of threatening letters and notes from an imagined stalker.

Through his maniacal words we watch as he closes in on his target and eventually chooses the alleyway in he will murder her and dump the body.

In the final image we see the murderer himself, looming in the shadows at the top of the stairs before disappearing back into the night.
