Creative photography workshops

A great image is not a product of technology – it is the
product of the creative vision of the artist who uses the tools.
“I thoroughly enjoyed myself and came away
with a range of new ideas”
“You have made me think about how I can move away from
imitating others and working towards my own style”
“Your teaching style is wonderful”
“It was a great day – it needed to be longer!”
You can learn about shutter speeds and apertures from books and manuals, but what about the real ‘magic’ of photography?
I conduct non-technical group workshops on visual creativity for photographers. Instead of dwelling on camera settings, these sessions explore the real guts of photography as an art form, covering topics such as ‘the myth of truth’, ‘how vs why’, and finding your personal style.
Formats and times can vary from an hour to a full day, presentation only or presentation plus practical exercises. Workshop attendees gain inspiration and self-confidence, and come away with new ideas and a new way of seeing things.
If you’d like to enquire about a workshop for your local group or camera club, please contact me for more details.
